Thanks for having posted this event which I was able to attend on Wednesday afternoon on facebook live.

They explained that life can live in salts, to which I asked," Up to what depth can life exist in salts under pressure?" They answered my question live and they said that on Earth life can exist in salts and rocks up to quite a number of kilometers (5 to 10 depending on location, I thought I heard them say) deep, possibly deeper on Mars because it is cooler inside the planet. Therefore, if our species is ever going to prove or disprove that native life ever existed on Mars we are going to have to drill pretty deep to settle the matter. If life's chemistry is seeded from outer space (we still don't know either way) would native planetary life be defined as that living chemistry which has taken root on a world but is derived from chemistry that might might also seed somewhere else given the right environment? Cosmochemistry leading to a polymer panspermia?

Thanks again for this magnificent event. I told some people that I'd virtually attended a live event in a laboratory a kilometer underground in England and they were gobsmacked. I did not see this event in the normal SAGAN events page and am now worried that I might be missing some events not posted there. Is there any way of getting all events posted in the same place?
