Many thanks for all the kind words about our summer and winter courses. Although it is not easy to convince funding agencies about the value of such events ("Universities should pay for training", your feedback might enable us to continue with this programme.

We recently got funding from the EU for 2 programmes involving training for early career astrobiologists. However, under this schemes (unlike NordForsk) we have no possibility to fund any COSTs involving students from outside Europe. Therefore, a funding from NAI would be greatly appreciated in the future. In the long run, the astrobiology community of the US would be the main beneficiary of suc contributions.

Best wishes,

Wolf

Hi everyone,

With the new NAI funding cycle, there is a risk that the Iceland field schools will no longer receive funding. Please share your experiences here! Your comments will be used to support efforts to get new funding for the school. This is important, Thank you!

Hello Friends!

As you know, in these fine economic times, it is challenging to find the funds through traditional routes to do exciting astrobiology research. Myself and a few friends are exploring the crowd-sourcing avenue, and would very much value your help in helping spread the word about our project "Do aliens use hairspray?". Here is our video and more details!

Thank you!!

Dear Marc,

Many thanks for the message. Where are you giving the talk ? Will you post a recording of your presentation ? Unfortunately I will have a lecture (yes, we do have lectures at 7 p. m).

Best wishes & many thanks for your efforts.

Best wishes,

Wolf

P. S. Do not forget your helmet for the talk !
