All are welcome to join the astrobiology virtual journal reading group!
This Friday from 11 to noon PST, we will discuss this paper (Schwieterman et al. 2015) on a clever way to measure nitrogen abundances in (exo)planetary atmospheres. Since N2 is the most abundant gas in our atmosphere and N is a bioessential element, knowing how much N2 an atmosphere contains is very helpful!
