The NASA Astrobiology Program is seeking a science writer/editor

The NASA Astrobiology Program is seeking a science writer/editor for a short term assignment to work on a new resource called the Astrobiology Learning Progressions (AB LPs).  The AB LPs comprise several interdisciplinary storylines for each of seven astrobiology research themes.  They are progressed in complexity through grade bands (3-5, 6-8, 9-12), and are related to Disciplinary Core Ideas of the Next Generation Science Standards. 


Ideal qualifications include demonstrated experience and excellence in science communication and writing, and fluency in the research topics of the astrobiology community.  The estimated commitment is ~40-60 hours, and the period of performance is November, 2018—January, 2019.  Applicants must be US citizens or foreign nationals formally affiliated with a US institution.  For more information, please contact Daniella Scalice at daniella.m.scalice@nasa.gov
