About Christie

I'm a planetary scientist working on unraveling the mysteries of our Solar System through micro-analysis of extra-terrestrial samples.

My current research is studying the composition of comet grains returned by the Stardust mission. These grains represent some of the earliest building blocks for our Solar System -- by studying their compositions, we can begin understand the conditions and environments from which they formed.

Previous research has focused on other planetary materials, including carbonaceous chondrites and the Moon. I received my Ph.D. in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Hawaii in 2015, and my Bachelor's degree in Astronomy from the University of Southern California in 2008.
