About Me (we also use this to ensure that you are a real person - if left blank, you will not be registered)
I am Chetanath Neupane, a M.Sc. graduate in Astrophysics at Tribhuvan University, Nepal and is currently working as a Lecturer of Physics at Siddhartha Higher Secondary School, Damak, Nepal.
Unfolding my academic involvements, I am highly motivated in the search for an answer to the question “are we alone in the universe?” To resolve this question, I specialised in Astrophysics (major) with computational physics (elective) and has also completed two semester course in Biophysics to explore from the tiniest living organisms up to the largest object to date: the Universe.
I thought, I should start look around the PhD positions in Astrobiology which would resolve my great curiosity for Astrobiology topics like evolution of life on Earth, life in extreme environments, habitability, biosignatures or relevant topics to my academic background.
I truly understand the kind of dedication, tenacity and resolve a PhD program calls for; I believe that i have the dexterity and assiduity to tread on this existing path. I do hope that I'll be given a fair chance to realize the objectives if got this opportunity.
I had also been actively involved in several scientific forums and activities in Nepal since last 10 years, and has participated and organized more than two dozen national & international conferences / seminars / workshops held in Nepal and abroad.
