Our guest for this episode is Dr. Kevin Peter Hand. Dr. Hand was the Deputy Chief Scientist for Solar System Exploration from 2011-2016 and now serves as the Director of JPL’s Ocean Worlds Lab. He's also a pre-Project Scientist for development of a Europa Lander/Ocean Worlds Lander mission concept. His research in the realm of astrobiology involves both numerical modeling and experiments in the physics and chemistry of the icy moons in our outer system. He’s recently authored the book “Alien Oceans: The Search for Life in the Depths of Space”.
