Vandi is an amazing and inspirational woman. Her passion for chasing her dreams (as impossible as they may have seemed), her zeal to achieve them through hard work and her willingness to take (calculated) risks are incredibly admirable. She is young, cool and an amazing role model for young people (especially the young ladies in your schools), who are or maybe interested in science and engineering. During the video conference event Vandi will share her story, the successes and challenges she experienced along the way, the studies and work experiences that led her to her current work, and of course, her experiences driving Curiosity. This is a very special and unique opportunity for your students to meet and interact with Curiosity’s driver, ask questions about her work, studies, and even technical questions about driving a rover which may help them in their future Mars Lab missions. We also plan to have Vandi teleoperate our Mawson Rover during the conference!
