Hi everybody! I am pretty new here, still figuring this out! Anyway, I am an undergrad biotech lab technician and current research collaborator at Ghent University. I am also co-founder of ReaGent, a DIYBio-lab in Ghent, for which I am in charge of the educational aspect.

I have been very interested in astrobiology for a while and although currently not working in the field, I am investigating the possibility to organize a workshop for kids, teens and/or adults.

With ReaGent we also try to launch (research)project in which anyone can get involved, if anyone has a cool idea, shoot!

Hi Niek - welcome to SAGANet! Is ReaGent similar to what BioCurious.org is doing?

Hi Sanjoy,

It is indeed :)
Like other bio labs and fab labs in general, we are advocates of open source, broad community-driven discovery, education and development.

Very cool; That's a great initiative!
